It's subjective in most cases, but it really depends on where you were starting and where you go to. If you're working with a shit panel with 10ms response time, literally anything is half or better is going to be a noteworthy improvement.
The only game I've played that it was an objective improvement was Stepmania. You start cranking up high note rates and eventually bottom tier panels leave everything a fucking blur which gets annoying at try hard tier levels of playing.

Well that depends on how you look at it. They go about security in different ways. Most of linux's software comes across automatically in repositories that are updated automatically.
It avoids a lot of worry from having to go to various shady sources to download things insecurely or let things get out of date and thus be subject to the latest discovered threats. The rate at which you get security patches is important, and factors in to peoples choice in browser and distro. Of course you also have PPA's in linux and the store in windows, but those are more exceptions to the rule at this point.
Windows has been trying to counter in ways that privacy conscious people might object to, but I can see their reasoning. They've appropriated android's tendency to hash upload any file you execute, and they're forcing system updates.
Don't underestimate the importance having the less common system. If you sit down at an airport and connect to the wifi, you're 10x more likely to be hacked if you are running windows.

Now I started using it to write textfiles for my blog. Now manually inserting newlines and using a placeholder to replace with <br> tags at runtime works, but it's inconvenient because going back and editing text fucks up the lines.
Can I set VIM to navigate wrapped single lines as if they were actual different lines? Lines get really long when they're whole paragraphs each and only being able to navigate those wrapped lines by going left and right is super inconvenient.

I wouldn't worry. From a little googling nobody seems to be concerned about it. My guess is that Firefox downloads files to /tmp/ before moving it to its cache, and it treats all non-text (i.e. images) as "bin".

I guess it would depend on how old it is. PSU's can deteriorate and cause weird issues. Also if the wattage on the PSU is low it might not be enough to power your new system. But it could easily be something else too.

This is really anti-intuitive, so it might be worthy of the thread subject, but is it possible for a faulty network adapter to screw with the modem and/or router? As in, kill the connection for the modem, or knock the home network offline momentarily? This adapter has felt like its on its last legs for the past couple of years (it's really old; only reason why it's not gone is because it took a break from acting up when I actually had money to spare, and there were more pressing things to buy), and we've had problems with several unstable routers and connections in a row at this point.
I suppose that the alternative is that we just have really incompetent IT guys out here, which isn't unlikely since this region isn't exactly known for its thriving tech sector, and that I have bad luck with buying lemon routers.
