No, just get a CRT.
You get amazing colors, low latency, high refresh rates, and it's super cheap.
CRTs are basically the best for both gamers and professionals, why did we switch away from them again?

Even my 60Hz Dell U2414H doesn't have any noticable ghosting. Or IPS glow/backlight bleed for that matter (and the latter is a potential problem on TN panels too). Whites and blacks are also great, although these are factory calibrated monitors. I can't speak to the quality of gay men-focused panels in that respect.
Price is really the only legitimate complaint. They do cost more, but I absolutely couldn't go back to a TN panel now. The colours and viewing angles are just SO much better.
