Because I don't want to fall behind in tech compatiblity, I resigned to using Windows 10 a while ago. There's a lot of software that allows to remove known privacy issues with Windows. DWS is the one I used and it's pretty brutal. On top of deleting all the telemetry software and allowing you to delete the preloaded apps, it adds entries to your firewall to block traffic to the servers that are being phoned constantly by Windows.
Give it time, concerns will arise and either Microsoft will have to back off or another solution will pop up. I mean, entreprises don't even all use entreprise editions, so there's a time bomb of compromised intellectual property there.
