I got a free chromebook, does this thing actually have any usefulness to it? only purpose I see is a glorified cloud os for shit posting, does it have any actual cool apps.

If you go out alot and need a clean nice OS with a browser and nothing else keep ChromeOS.
If you go out but need some extra functionality like shell then enable DEV mode and pop a prompt with CTRL + ALT + T ( I think ) and type shell.
If you want maximum comfy loonix but also go out alot and still sometimes just want a nice ChromeOS to find noods on 4chan then use Crouton to install a ubuntu distro on the side
If you want full maxium comfy loonix then install loonix.
If you are gay you can also make windows work.
I've had my C720 for a few years now and im sorry if you dont agree lads but its just flawless because IT JUST WERKS (tm). Also got mine for next to nothing, 100 dollars.
Install Gentoo
Seriously though, install Arch or Ubuntu on it, and it becomes a regular ass computer.
