I actually have $5 chink headset and my friends don't believe it was that cheap because of the sound quality.

Your choice though.

I've used Logitech g230 for over a year now. Cheap, decent mic, decent sound, decent build quality. Get that and buy vidya games with extra money instead of falling for the razor jew

Is razor really that bad?

Here's decent-enough sound on the cheap:

Headphones:

Sennheiser HD 201 - $16 on Amazon currently. Relatively neutral/flat sound pattern. There's not much for bass, but they do sound clear. The closed design is nice for reducing exterior noise.
Note: If you have a fat head, these may not be the most comfortable.

Mic:
CAD U37 USB - $44

Haven't tried this myself, but the reviews seem good enough. It'll be a huge upgrade from any headset you buy for under $80

Mount / Pop Filter:
Neewer® NB-35 Microphone Suspension Boom Scissor Arm Stand with Mic Clip Holder and Table Mounting Clamp & NW(B-3) Pop Filter Windscreen Mask Shield & Metal Microphone Shock Mount Kit - $20

This will hold your shit in place and help eliminate plosives.

Total: $80

A halfway decent beginner setup. Be sure to properly adjust the input gain on the microphone. In future, you may want to look at getting a pair of more expensive headphones and an external sound card/headphone amp.

Hope this helps.

>USB mic
Absolutely disgusting
>>
>>55585493
What's wrong with USB
>>
>>55585493

I know, but OP wants shit done on the cheap.

If the budget was a bit bigger, I'd recommend an XLR-interfaced cardioid pattern mic and an interface with a decent preamp. OP is using this shit for gaymin, and that USB mic is far better than a gaymin headset.
>>
>>55585522
Why waste so much on the mic it's for vidya games
>>
>>55585430
I bought it local from a chink, not aliexpress.
Looks identical to these though, just with inki written on the side instead.

I use the Sennheiser HD 280, it's got great sound quality and it's pretty comfortable on my ears since it's over-ear. Only issue is that they're kinda heavy.
