Heya /g/

So I've been using a GTX 770 from Asus for 3 years now and I feel like it's time to upgrade. Pic related, the 1070, looks like an ideal graphics card for me. I have the money and everything ready, I can even get it for 10-15% off, but first I want to hear your opinion on this.
Is it worth it or should I wait some more before I buy a new one?

Why should I? I'm mostly gonna stick with 1080p for now, all I need is a card that can max out games and maybe allow me to run them at a higher resolution so I see less jaggies.

1080 will be running games at 1080p for longer.

I was thinking of getting another card from asus too, but their new model is too long and it won't fit in my case. So my second best option would be to go with MSI.

>>55584941
I've only owned one ATI card in my entire life and I think that was enough.

If the 1070 will keep me satisfied for another 3 years then I'm completely fine.

nobody asked you to post a self-portrait

It's looks like you're already dead set in buying the 1070. Nothing anyone says here will probably change your mind. Buy it and enjoy it.

what is the best overclocker currently? g1 runs on 1800+ with default boost and it has 8 pin connector instead of 6 pin so that might be a thing to check if you're buying 1070/80 if it's a custom pcb
