laughing girls are a botnet

>he's paranoid about botnet and spying
>he uses android and praise google
>>
>>55584306
The botnet meme seems to be exclusively about shitting on Windows, it's ok when everyone does it.
>>
pokemon go is literally a botnet
>>
I use what?
>>
>Windows 10 with everything enabled
>Google Chrome
>Stock android with heavy use of Google Now and GPS on 24/7

Feels good man.
>>
>>55584373
Is that a fucking joke? Did you completely forget about the existence of Chrome?
>>
>>55584406
Chrome is great, I recommend it to my friends.

Myself I use the closed source fork Vivaldi.
>>
>>55584485
Shut the fuck up, idiot.

I filled out a google captcha to post in this thread allowing a direct connection to google.com.

but since I'm not using Chrome to do it I'm not part of the google botnet according to /g/.

jewgle can't harvest my brainwaves as long as I don't use their browser, connecting to their servers all the time and running their scripts is fine though.
>>
It's open source isn't it? Explain to a pleb like me what's wrong with it.
>>
>>55584521
>he thinks that filling out a captcha is the same as using a web browser that literally sends everything you type in it directly to Google HQ
>>
>>55584524
4chan is closed source and runs multiple google scripts.

All the shilling for open source and paranoia about botnets is ridiculous in that context.
>>
>>55584568
>he thinks I let the google scripts run on my machine
top kek
>>
>>55584568
I'm talking about the 4chanx thread watcher. I forgot all about the native one.
>>
>>55584543
What are you typing into your web browser that's so secretive?

Everyone can see what you're typing and where it's coming from unless you're running Tor or something.
>>
>>55584600
You can't post on 4chan without allowing google.com and gstatic.com to run.

Unless you have a 4chan pass which is a security issue of it's own.
>>
>>55584618
>What are you typing
none of your fucking business, faggot
>Everyone can see what you're typing and where it's coming from
only the NSA, Google doesn't need to fucking know
also, sometimes I connect to sites using https, is that such an insane concept?
>>
>>55584644
>Unless you have a 4chan pass which is a security issue of it's own.
not really, stripe does the payment processing and this site tracks your IP anyways so having a pass associated with your posts doesn't make a difference
>>
>>55584651
>only the NSA

the people running the sites you visit and the people that run the scripts those sites run can see what you do.

if you type "gay pron" into the Netflix search field they can see what you've done and your secret is out.
>>
>>55584660
>and this site tracks your IP anyways so having a pass associated with your posts doesn't make a difference

with the pass the admins can tie all of your posts together even if you use different IPs, browsers, cookies etc.
>>
>>55584684
>the people running the sites you visit
that isn't everyone and that literally cannot be avoided
>and the people that run the scripts those sites run
only the scripts necessary for the functionality I need are run

why do you needlessly give people your information? you think the current situation of security isn't bad enough, you gotta give every pajeet running a script your search terms?

>>55584703
dynamic IPs don't matter, ISP has them logged (meaning the NSA does too), USA doesn't have any retention laws
>>
>>55584742
>dynamic IPs don't matter

They do to the people whose sites you visit.

If you're only worried about the NSA then what does it matter about anyone else then?
>>
>>55584793
>If you're only worried about the NSA then what does it matter about anyone else then?
I don't know how you could possibly have read my post and came away with that conclusion.
Please read it again.
>>
>>55584804
I read your post and it doesn't make any sense that's why my post ended with a question to you.
>>
>>55584839
If you take one thing away from anything I have posted it should be this:
Why do you needlessly give as many people as possible your information?
>>
>>55584568
>running 4chan's shitty JS
>not having a Gold Pass to not fill captchas
>>
>>55584250
>he's paranoid about botnet
>he uses any piece of networked technology in the year or 2016
>>
>>55584521
By filling out the captcha, you're only helping label training data for Google's computer vision super-intelligent AI

Thanks for your contribution towards the singularity, friend
>>
>>55584922
networked alone might be manageable, bullshit with ring -3 management engine is what guarantees you're getting fucked
>>
>>55584684
Yes. Every time I visit a friend, I try tosneak on his computer to make random gay porn searches. Then I go from gay porn sites to small local sites he visits to make sure those sites know he's big into gayism of the most obscene kind.
>>
botnet is a fucking meme
>>
>>55584250
I'm not paranoid about the botnet.

I love the botnet. It's given me such amazing things as better ads ( for things I'm actually interested in ), the ability to share all my precious life's experiences with all my friends at the click of a button and, most of all, it makes me proud to be part of the future of the internet and human communication as a whole.

Man, I sure am happy I learned how to stop worrying and love the botnet!

Might as well go live in a cave at this point if you're that afraid of all this shit.
>>
>>55584250
What's the problem if the connection is HTTPS? Ok, 4chan knows my shitposting habits, but to eavesdroppers it's just a periodic encrypted request
>>
what thread watcher are you talking about?
