I remember going and buying SuSE Linux from a brick and mortar store in the late 90s. Was my first distro. Would have taken forever to download over 56k. And it came with a huge printed manual.

My first Linux install was from this book back in '95. It had slackware on CD. I remember having to pull out the cdrom to find the model number in order to load the drivers to install from cdrom.

My first install disk came from LinuxFormat magazine. Was probably Ubuntu 6.0 6.
