If tech illiterate "net neutrality" leftists have their way, this pro-consumer offer would be ILLEGAL as it violates the moronic, illiberal concept of "net neutrality" where consumers are denied better service in the name of "equality".
When did you actually start thinking for yourself and reject the authoritarian left-wing notion of a government regulated, anti-consumer "net neutrality" Internet?
Poor quality bait offcuts

TLDR
But based tmo!
If net neutrality doesn't exist your the price of your internet bill goes up the more your neighbours use use theirs. You might get free Pokemon Go but you'll be paying out the ass to download your shemale porn

good thread

no you faggot, it's about not allowing companies to regulate what you can and cant access on the internet. it'd basically be like facebook propaganda everywhere

>Constant need to be redefining words in a new way to fit my lame quasi argument
you went full shilltard why arent you on talk radio???
Based capitalism.

That's not what net neutrality is about despite the endless propaganda trying to convince you otherwise
Net neutrality is not about consumers, it's about allowing services to pay ISPs in order to get better treatment, like bandwidth priority or free mobile data as in this case.
T-Mobile's offer is illegal because a potential competitor to Pokemon GO would not have this advantage therefore their product would be inferior.
If you think that's a valid logic is up to you, but it has nothing to do with what you described.

fuck off

Expect ATT and Verizon to sue T-Mobile for violating Net Neutrality.
"But muh Net Neutrality is clearly bad for the companies."
Clearly not.

Pokemon Go barely uses any data anyway. I've been playing since release and it's used a whole grand total of 900Kb.

You are very, very confused; in political terms.
You appear to be using the simplified American Authoritarian/Libertarian political spectrum. This spectrum is retarded. If you can't work this out for yourself you do not deserve to leave the 4Chan containment board for idiots: /pol/
This is some good bait op. I'll come back to this later and see how many more (you)s you've racked up

>Lets allow ourselves to get fucked in the arse by chad because all sex is the same, right?
Yes, this sort of breach of net neutrality is a good thing but where does it stop? When we have free access to a facebook approved version of the internet and nobody knows of anything outside it? You may think I'm picking an imaginary scenario out of my ass but that's what was happening in India.
Even if it doesn't come to that, would you be willing to accept the possibility of being charged more for access to certain websites so you could get free pokemon go data?
Even if we ignore that, is this right or is this giving pokemon go an unfair advantage over other apps? This could very well stifle development of other games like it because people will stick to the one that doesn't use their data. Should your phone provider be able to shape the market in such a way?

Or they can back it, stating that they support the abolition of net neutrality "for the good of the customer"
This is a publicity stunt to try change public opinion. You can bet they've been waiting for this opportunity, biding their time until an app that uses data becomes popular enough to get public attention.
