I don't mind the flat styled iOS. but I hate how macOS looks since Yosemite
Minimalist design isn't bad necessarily or in and of itself, but it is way overdone.
UI has been nothing but one step forward 100 steps back ever since Google really started pushing material design. I don't know what it but for some reason every material design app has way way way less options and settings than any random app that doesn't use it. So you run into situations where the designer wants to hide your notification bar for no valid reason and there's no setting to show it.
