Hello guys,
is it safe (undetectable) to use torrents when on VPN (Hotspot Shield, seems pretty cool).
I mean, I wanna download movies, but because sharing it is a crime, and torrenting includes sharing it, I'm doing a crime. But, my question is, am I anonymous with that VPN?
I read something about that VPNs won't help you. Thanks

when the VPN goes out and your torrent client continues it may blow your cover. So you would need to make sure that the VPN connection is required or otherwise, there's a small risk.
I don't know about Hotspot Shield, in most likelyhood it is more than enough. If you were Lulzsec, it probably wouldn't be enough because you're a prominent target.
You could also try downloading from things like Megaupload. It's easier.
Just don't seed. That way everyone but you is committing a crime.
Does Megaupload still exist? I thought it's dead.
