The specs appear to be shittier than the 10, so why not just get the beefier one.
It comes with an unlocked boot loader out of the box, so you can put what ever software you want on it. And it comes with "i accidentally my phone" warranty protection.

I love my 10. Posting from it right now. The SD card slot is great to have and I like the metal body. It's an actual metal body, unlike my previous LG G5. The screen is good and the Snapdragon 820 is enough for me. I won't be upgrading for a while. Now if only my T-Mobile promotion case and charger would ever fucking ship...

RN3P is on it's way to having stable ROMs and the Mi5 already has a stable CM13 despite no kernel sources.

I am still using my HTC One (the first one that came out) and it's a decent enough phone but the camera fouled up after I had it for about 18 months. Every photo I take has a purple tint. Otherwise, an ok phone.

I got Nexus 6p yesterday since it was $400 on Amazon. I owned Nexus 6, and from the spec alone, I wasn't expecting much boost in terms of performance. But this device is much smoother. Easier to type, not laggy at all. I guess it's more optimized. I recommend 6p.

Nexus phone are generally good recommendations, but no microsd support is a deal-breaker for most. So, next in line are other good phones with microsd and official Cyanogenmod support. Those are my rules when I buy a new phone and never had remorse about my choices until now.
