I already have a job as a construction worker but I still like ricing (to an extent). Though I don't use unusable desktop operating systems like loonix though, just Windows 7 and Android lollipop I guess. Mostly rice on my phone though, I'm fine with just changing the wallpaper and color of windows a little in Windows 7 desu.

Google Litestep or BB4Windows (the forums) and Rainmeter (use that well and sparely. Not like those vomit wg threads). Install UXTheme Patcher or Ultimate Theme Patcher and search deviantart for Windows 7 themes, bb and Litestep themes.
Other than that, the community has been dead for years and moved of us moved on from this ricing. However I still have a VM of how I used to configure my desktop

It's all(99%) the same "minimalistic ancient-hipster"-style(aka I cant do shit, but lets pretend I like old stuff) or "minimalistic flat"-style (aka I cant do shit... so... yeah... minimalism).
Also, "Dark as my soul" sub-genre is my favorite. It's not only makes your mother think you are a hacker, but also ruins your sight. Comes with a Razer sticker and screenfetch.

I actually played around with bb and litestep once but found them unsuitable in one way or another (bb even has semi-dead forum with semi-dead posters and devs; litestep is just dead, I guess, but i found couple pluggins that were better than bb's and generally I liked it more, anyway they both have pros and cons, so, no good choice,)
And because of that I expect something useful from "desktop-threads": some new decisions or examples of better use of those plugins available.
