My video card doesn't support dx12 and 8.1 is just as fast. 10 has more bloat. 10 adds more problems when using the built in administrator account. 10 is fucking unusable when installed on an hdd, even though I have an SSD it says something of its efficiency. As a pirate I have updates disabled right after the install so I haven't seen gwx at all. Windows 10 is free and great for me so far. I haven't had any problems and all I had to do to disable the "spying" (it isn't really spying just common error-reporting stuff) was take 20 seconds to go into the privacy settings. You should stick with it, it's nothing but free and great. Microsoft finally learning from their past mistakes, Windows 10 even supports linux now.

Just bought a new Ideapad with W10 on it, and it only has 2GB of RAM total. It sits at around 70-80% RAM usage when doing nothing, but that's still less than 4GB.
My regular computer is constantly at around 8GB, but I haven't had it just sitting idle in over 6 months, so I don't know where it would normally be.
