Always have backups that exist outside your PC. We've all learned that lesson at some point, and this was your time to learn.

It's literally a business computer you retard. It's a family business and we obviously share a computer.

Good luck limiting them to 2 sites. But running in a guest account or a non-admin account would've been best.

The best solution is to just get your own computer. If it's not your property then you have to deal with someone else's bullshit.

a system backup is some kind of data storage external to your computer.
on this backup every is as it was at the time of the backup.

I found lots of problems with you, anon.
>not having full disk image backups nightly
>sharing computers
>giving other people admin permissions
I hope you learned your lesson. Buy 2-3 drives, RAID them to RAID1 to ensure backups. Configure them to backup nightly, and delete the oldest backup. MAKE ULTRA SURE THAT BACKUP SYSTEM WORKS ON LINUX. NOT ON FUCKING BOTNET. All your problems are solved.

But then everyone can see your fur porn right?
I don't know how git works but git is decentralized for a reason.
>>
>>55539469
You're supposed to format the hard drive, THEN restore from backup.
>>
>>55541017
No.
Gitlab offers private repos for free.
Git is decentralized in a sense that there isn't one online service to publish your git repos to. You can have a repo in multiple locations. You can even easily roll your own server. You don't even have to have a server and just send patches. This makes it decentralized in comparasion to, say, Google Docs, or Microsoft Office 365.

Plus git gives you excellent versioning. No reason to not use it, even if you are not a developer.
>>
>>55541017
>decentralized means not password protected
get off my board
>>
>>55541079
But if I upload my stuff to say github or gitlab even if it's private the server can still see what was uploaded right?
>>
>>55541112
First, you said everyone.

Yes, if you push it to github.com or gitlab.com. Gitlab is open source thought, you can host your own server.
>>
>>55539380

That's what you get, idiot.
>>
>>55539380

A lot of times those ransomware viruses don't delete the registry backup files in RegBack so there's a good chance you can just copy/paste from there over your fucked registry and be golden.
