Best card for 1080p 144hz gaming?
By best I mean a card that can produce atleast 144fps maxed for the next 2-3 years.

You have to pair AMD gpu's with similar high quality parts. A shitty motherboard won't cut it.

That's rich, unlike your display. 144Hz neuters color quality no matter what you do. 144Hz IPS looks worse than a good 60Hz TN.

It's not a meme when I load a game I immediately know if the monitor is in 60hz mode and switch it to 144hz. Op I hate to say it's difficult to say now. I have no idea how dx12 will work out. Nvidia will likely shit the bed because of async compute and their cards not receiving any gains. For example the fury X had 8. 6Tflops of performance and the 1080 hits 9 but since vulan and dx12 will let devs code to the metal it may turn out that a fury X destroys everything short of a 1080. Or dx12 and vulan with nvidia cards may start to gain from them to. I'm no waitfag, but I'm going to tell you to wait and see what happens before buying a card.
