Yes, we know everything is already from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on Gearbest, AliExpress, eBay and similar sites.

Want to contribute to the infographic? Take the best possible photograph you can take of your favourite chink shit (this can by anything from chink smartphones, memebuds/headphones, chink SSDs, powerbanks to quadcopters and include some of its pros and cons.

Aliexpress standard shipping is surprisingly fast! I ordered a case for my redmeme and was scared it would take like a month to arrive but it only took exactly a week to be delivered.

I guess aliexpress ships it directly from their own warehouse (that the sellers can store their goods in?) to a US shipping partner which then transfers it to USPS to be delivered? I think I will order from Aliexpress standard shipping more now!

It runs for about 1 Initial D episode including aftersmell. I like the last part the best.
It was mint flavoured but I couldn't actually detect any mint, does give of a nice incense scent though.
Bottom 1 mm or less doesn't burn because that's where the oil stacks up.

well i don't know what that means but it's fucking solid, I've dropped mine a few times and it's still going fine.

It's maximum output is pretty nice too, can't remember it off the top of my head but having it handy is nice when i just plug it in for 10 minutes and my phone jumps from 5% to 30% battery. i'm not sure what my phones current draw is though.

i can see why you'd be sceptical, but most people here bought to xiaomi 10000mAh and as far as i can tell, for the price they can't be beaten.

takes the standard month to arrive though.

I don't have any games that actually use a controller. I've just paired it with my phone in game pad mode and it works as I can navigate my home screen with it.

It's tiny, weighs nothing, dunno about battery life as no games lol.

I'd say it's worth it as a keychain quick controller, provided that you don't need analog.
Buttons have decent tactile feedback, the D pad might be a bit soft for some, but you shouldn't have problems and accidentally trigger it

Have you ever considered what life was like for those people before they got work in that "sweatshop"?
China has lifted a third of its population out of poverty in recent years while US workers lose rights and entitlements. Not saying that the Chinese have it better but the trend, as they say, is in the right direction.
Li Cuxin, the dancer, was allowed back into China to visit his family in rural China. He found that the best they could offer their returning son was tasteless boiled yams. His parents and brothers still lived in the mud-brick hut he'd grown up in.
Tears, indeed.

I can vouch for the X1, my friend got it after liking my X5. It's essentially the same thing with a metal body but only 1 micro sd card slot. Really good for $99.

If even that is too much look into the cheapest option Fiio has, the m3.

I just received this portable stove from GB. It is "Rover Camel" brand, but there are other brands with apparently the same exact design which cost a few dollars more, such as "Ohohu".

The steel smells dirty and impure. I wonder if it will give off toxic fumes. I wonder if it will even hold up with use. I wonder if the other brands use higher quality steel.

I'm not even sure if I want to use it.

im going to upgrade from my HTC 510 which stopped getting updates since 4.4 to a 6.0

dont really care about LTE and so the Leagoo Z5 w/ LTE doesnt really justify that price, i mainly use my fone to text, check email, call and google maps....now that gmaps finally has a fully functional search feature for offline mode that makes the 4G+ speeds even less nessisary, ill get all up updates an stuff thru wifi at home

what do you mean "these phones" this is csg

im not paying $100+ for US name brand phones

their AnTuTu benchmarks are higher than the HTC 510 ive currently had

what exactly is bad about them?

even just jewrilla glass rank 1 fones are 150 dollars

so thats out

they already have the key features that my current one does which is included in the URL string

plus they're about .5~ inch larger than the HTC 510 which is 4.6 and still good enough, theres one thats a big smaller but just for comparisons

i didnt just "search cheapest" blindly

i also aint one of thse idiots with cracked glasses

the fone sits in my shirt pocket when out-and-about, not in my pants

and i dont care about the volume buttons, i have everything silent and straight to Google VM forwarded without rings

how bad can they be when not handled by niggers facebooking their boyfiends being shot?

i also dont game on them

if you ask me to spend more, then ill do more research and make sure its a Cyanogenmod eligable fone, but for pre-installed shit im not spending $80+ again *(which is what the 510 was that i got for free when i signed up to cricket)
>>
>>55529508
fuuuuuuck, can't believe I missed that, thanks anon.
>>
>>55531145
I meant spending a bit more getting something like the oukitel k4000 pro, k6000 or if you can stretch it, a redmi 3 which has better chipsets and will last longer.
>>
>>55529853
Panasonic ErgoFit are nice enough, you can get 2 pair for under $15 on amazon
>>
>>55531165

you keep saying "last longer" what is justifying that?

do you mean 64bit?

i could easily keep using this 4.4 HTC since its the last android version that pretty much all android apps still adhere too, i believe 4.2 was the last true "end of life" so too speak across the board.

theres already a $72 fone in that list so that tells me the ones your suggesting are closer to $100

and no im not buying a $100 fone
>>
>>55531145

>>
>>55531145
>>55531194

anon had already decided. I await the review on his sub $100 phone.
>>
>>55531192

INFACT if you look at the sorting, i already had it set up to $90 and your fones still aint listed

so no, im not going higher ,in fact the 90 was just a random sort to weed out some of the outliers, even that Mpie Y12 isnt really in contention its just within the sorting i could already do wtihout mistakenly losing some of the cheaper ones that are already within the mandatory features i want

and if i dropped it to android 5.0 more cheaper ones would be avalible too, but if 6's have the features i need and are still cheap i might as well go with that

I bought my brother this headphone amplifier for his birthday. Just arrived this morning and got the chance to try it out before heading to work.

http://m.ebay.com/itm/Finished-HD-8-A1-PRADO-Headphone-Amplifier-R-core-transformer-amp-L1511-9-/191908104031?nav=SEARCH

Its surprisingly nice. Really thick, heavy aluminum enclosure. I took a look inside, and its exactly like the picture. All components are identicle.
I will say i think the caps are fakes. They look like nichicon caps without a brand name.
I doubt the pot is really an alps either.

As far as sound goes, nobaudible buzz at no input, max volume, and as far as my ears can tell no crossover distortion (i read somewhere this is an ab class design, but i dont have the time to trace the circuit). Acceptable audio range, though i can tell its not a full 20-20k. Some noise is getting lost somewhere.

Those cheaper chinkphones have corners cut everywhere from the mainboard design to using shitty sensors. I don't have sources but can say from experience. They will not be made to a standard like the sub $100 phones are made that is for sure. I mean if you only need a temp phone then it's no issue but in my experience if you can spend just a bit more you should as quality increases drastically.

I decided to swap back and forth between the brand new chinesium amp and my $40 classified-find kenwood ka 3500. Though my kenwood has some audible issues with the dc bias centering, and caps that have most certianly turned to dust on the inside, it still has a more detailed response. Though to its credit, it did originally come with a suite of elna caps, which is surprising considering it was a midrange amp at the time of its inception.

Overall, first impression is it had a pretty good sound, maybe just a tad lacking in the absolute lowest end and highest end of the spectrum, with none of the wretched buzzing and distortion you might fear to encounter with a chinese amp.
At 150 shipped, it wasnt the cheapest option, but its something i can give as a gift without feeling like a shit baller.

I was mostly curious what the chinese had to offer. There really arent any fully analog name brand amps, brand new, for that price range. None i know anyway. I looked up decent cheap headphone amps, specifically solid state as the cheap tube amps are absolute trash, and this is one i found a good review of. Er, an older revision, anyway. This one was updated from consumer feedback. Which i also thought was pretty cool.
Looking at the solder traces and componentl placement, i even wonder if these are made by some chinese dude in his moms basement.

They also make a diy kit i might look into picking up for fun. Ill be sure to post it kn the /csg/ if i do.

Yeah I dunno about headphone amps, the 47 amp I got is pretty good to me with a good input.

The xy lm3886 kit I run (35cad without the transformer) is a awesome. Incredibly clean sound it's so much better than any of the amps from the 70s and 80s and still better than new midrange power amps.

This is with all stock components I didn't put any fancy stuff on like lots of diy folks do.

These days all the Chinese stuff is derivatives (or direct copies) of the manufacturer reference schematic or copies of well respected circuits.

The Chinese are pretty serious about their audio.

This thing is a complete piece of shit.

3.1A is complete bullshit, it starts crapping out at 0.6A. It can kinda draw 0.7A, but the voltage drops to 4.5V. Any higher than 0.7A, and the voltage drops to 3V or lower.

Stability is bad. All current changes cause huge voltage drops. Just going from 0A to 0.3A will drop the voltage below 4V. And it takes like 2 seconds to recover. Ripple voltage is like 0.4V near its max load - fucking ridiculous. I gave up on this thing long before testing behavior when warm/hot.

The circuitry is as dumb as it gets. No ICs or regulators, it's literally just diodes and transistors. The voltage regulation is sensed by a zener, which goes through an optocoupler and shunts out the mains switching transistor. It's hobby-tier design.

This thing is not safe. I spotted like 4 places where the isolation gap is <2mm. The pcb is super thin, and I expect it to crack if you push the usb port too hard. Perhaps worse than that, the plastic case comes off just by pulling it. If you plug this thing into a grippy socket, there's a risk that pulling it out will remove the plastic case instead, leaving you with a live exposed circuit

Don't buy it. The Microsoft 1621 unit can be found for $1.80 and it's infinitely better

im not an expert on switches but these black ones are way more silent then the blue ones on my ducky shine 3. they feel like a corsair keyboard I used while at a friends house. will take time to get used to as im used to the click helping my brain register that I actually hit a key successfully. Ive been misspelling way more then I would like to now. The base feels like a sturdy reinforced plastic if that makes sense. not super chink garbage plastic but a quality sturdy plastic with a gloss finish. mini usb is located top right. very light Id say just over a few pounds. my logitech K830 is heavier than this. since there is no bezel my thumbs really wish there was something to rest on. my ducky had numpad and Im starting to miss that too. Since there is no definitive guide on ajazz keyboards Im not sure which one is the 108 key version of this board. overall worth the 75 it came out too.
