I'm trying to brake into coding but I'm not sure what to start off with. I use to play with basic back in the day and I just got a Raspberry Pi to mess around with but I want to learn.
What's the best way to learn coding? What type of programing is best to learn and about how long will it take till I can start making codes really work for me?

I want to just make anything, just stuff that pops Into my head like home security or automation, and blah blah.
