I can't figure out how to import .mkv x264/5 media into Sony Vegas without having to re-encode the entire video, is there any codec pack that'll work with it?
Use blender like a normal human being.
Ditch the video stream in another container, your shitty app probably can't read the mkv container file.

Install Blender
Proceed with your video editing
(just extract the video and audio tracks from the mkv with something like gmkvextractgui)
