Did you do a clean install for your drivers out of curiosity? DDU?
>>
>>55519040
Clean as can be, right from a fresh OS install.
But since it's been a year, I guess now might be a good time to clean and try for a new fresh start, since my encode just finished and I'm free for a reboot.
>>
>>55518105

Are you perhaps using target frame rate in crimson options?

Because if you do I'd recommend you to turn it off. It's absoulte dog shit, I thought my gpu was dying as it would lock-up on full load without substantial over-voltage and utilization would fluctuate. GPU werked nicely otherwise but for some reason I decided to test frame rate control , forgot about it and looked for problems elsewhere once they started. (wasn't long but i was clueless for a day or two.)

All these people saying

There is no good reason to get an amd card if you are not going to use 10. Their driver overhead in dx11 is still terrible and many of the fixes for dx11 seem to still be only in the win10 drivers.

This shit only seems to be an issue when overclocking. As soon as I drop my CPU to stock this stops happening.
>>
Could be faulty hardware.

A driver crash can often be faulty hardware and not a software issue.
>>
>>55518105
Either a faulty card or an unstable overclock. The exact same thing happens with my 1070 when I push it too hard.

Go poo in the loo, Pajeet.

At least it's not fucking up my multiple screen setup at my work computer, like nvidia does.

reminder that Intel could cease the functionality of your computer if you're running their latest hardware at any time over 3G or WiFi. They also have access to your keyboard, mouse, and the display processed by the integrated graphics chip no matter your OS. Intel is literally spyware.

AMD isn't even trying anymore to make actual competitive products that would force Nvidia to pick up its pace and stop being Jews;
while Nvidia isn't even trying anymore to properly advance GPU technology with fair pricing, and is more interested in shattering the performance of our computers with cancerous programs like GeForce Experience and 2 thousand other unneeded processes vomiting in the Windows Task Manager screen.

Such is life these days.

You know you can turn almost all of those services to manual, right? Or even better, don't even select them when you install the drivers.
>>
>>55524312
The problem is that i don't know which of some of the software components i need, and which are irrelevant, at installation. Nvidia does a good job at confusing shit.

There are 2 or 3 things that i definitely know to avoid, and do.
>>
>>55524348
Everything except the display driver service can be set to manual with no problems. You can also disable the taskbar icon, I think somewhere in the control panel.
>>
>>55524210
That's not true. The success of them RX 480 caused NVIDIA to bump the GTX 1060 release from the fall up to this month.
>>
>>55524380
I noticed that i have Nvidia Streamer Service on.
I'm assuming that's in relation to that SHIELD turd.
Another thing i have to fucking disable.
>>
>>55524392
>GTX 1060 release from the fall up to this month.
Wasn't it said that this shit won't have cooling support for anything but stock?
I'm assuming that's because of the bump.

the drivers are pretty stable for me, running win10 with the telemetry shit removed. again, i barely use my main computer since my laptop does most of the heavy lifting excluding video editing and vidya
>>
Why are AMD drivers so fucking bloated and shitty these days? Weird play.tv shit and crap, fuck that, nvidia is much nicer
>>
>>55525669
You don't have to install Raptr at all, dum-dum
>>
>>55518105
happens to me with those amazing flawless nvidia drivers as well. sometimes it doesn't recover at all or PC restarts immediately.
oh and btw, I can only install my drivers using that bloatware GFE because because standard driver packages you can download from their website doesn't recognise my gpu anymore.
>>

what can you do

the bluepilled razer goys love nvidia
>>
>>55518105
Just because the driver crashes doesn't mean it's AMD's fault.

For example in Second Life there's griefer tools that will will cause GPU stress in such a way that my Nvidia drivers and the game crash every time they are used.
>>
>>55524763
I just don't even install any of that garbage when I install the driver. The only services I've got are the display driver and something to do with stereoscopic 3D, which I never use.
