ultrawides:
whats your viewpoint on this? I'm looking at getting the dell 34" ultrawide but im curious to know if anyone has went this route before and if they have suggestions.

this is my nightmare

exactly , which is why I was thinking about getting 1 ultrawide, and a 27" portrait 1440
thnking about something like this

I have a simular setup to the one in that picture.
An 24" Dell on the right vertically and an 34" Dell ultrawide on the left.
It's pretty comfy. I mostly use my 24" for music, email, text editing and looking up documentation. And I use my 34" monitor for programming, watching movies and a occasional game.
Only downside; because you don't have any 16:9 monitor you are unable to watch 16:9 content without black bars on both your monitors.

thanks for the input. dealing with black bars is hardly a downside desu

That's fucking retarded. You are not a giraffe.

Have it. Can confirm it's awesome if you're after expansive real estate and filling up a large portion of your FoV.

cheers, thanks for the feedback

I love this setup, ready to retire my 3 1080p 24 inch IPS monitors. Just have to wait a couple more years until 4k drops more in price.
Have an LG Ultrawide 29", it's nice for gaymen and two windows split across the screen. Don't like that curved gimmick though.

how many graphic cards do you have?
>>55506571
a 34' is about the height of a 24' so dont get a 27'
Was thinking about doing the same, but I dont want to buy a second graphic card
I was thinging about getting a 34' (ultra wide) for gaming and put above it a 29' (ultra wide) above the main one.
I dont know if I want a 3 monitor setup.

can confirm what he said as well
