Depending where you are in Alaska you'll probably be limited to satellite internet which isn't terrible but your ping will be too high to play games.
But there has to be a decent size town with Wimax or something I'm guessing
Google.

Alaska has two modes. Normal, modern cities like Anchorage, and the hinterlands. Guess which one has good internet.

GI net is shit no matter where you are.
If you're in a big city the speed will likely be okay, but ping and data caps will be a problem. You will be limited in your data usage and your ping times will be 50ms+ unless you are lucky enough to connect to something hosted locally.
