So Vivaldi is out and stable. What's your opinion on it?
Reminds me of the good old opera days
>>55492329
I tried it for a while but it was using a lot of cpu, it was literally overheating my laptop. I used many browsers but Vivaldi was by far the slowest, maybe it's better now though.
I prefer Puccini when it comes to opera tbqh.
My favorite chrome skin
>>55492375
Downside of using no ram
>>55492375
tried it on a shitty apu laptop running xubuntu and it felt slower than chromium
on my desktop computer it works great for now
>>55492329
>is named Vivaldi
>isn't fast
Wew lads
I'll stick to real Opera till it's not a pile of shit.
botnet
>>55492329
I use it as my second browser on Linux. It's nice. I don't need Chrome anymore which is a big plus.
The browser won't close where you Ctrl+w the last tab open which is stupid though. The interface sucks but still far better than Chrome.
>>55493383
>The browser won't close where you Ctrl+w the last tab open which is stupid though
That's how Opera worked, Vivaldi's trying (poorly) to replicate Opera.
no global sync it's shit
>>55492329
Stopped using that piece of shit when it told me to go through a drop down menu to drag a tab to a new window.
>>55493605
Absolutely. At least it has PPAPI which can come handy before the death of Flash.
>>55492329
>vivaldi

nice meme
Also nice window bar faggot

This interface is a fucking joke.
>search bar by default in 2016, when omnibox is a standard
>can't drag a tab out of a window to make a new one
>tiling is tedious
>custom CSS for the interface breaks after updates, and there is a shitton of useless buttons that waste space on the screen
I'd rather use chrome.
>>55494219
>omnibox is a standard
Go fuck yourself. The URL bar is not a fucking search bar. They are two fucking different things and only idiots would put them together.
>>55494251
Why the fuck should the address bar not work as both?
>>55492329
> not using elinks

>>55494251
the thing about technology is that it advances
i suggest advancing, friend
>>55494251
Just look at what your browser suggests to you, retard.
>>55492329
Can you drag tabs out to new windows yet?
>>55494306
>elinks
No using Lynx.
>>55494219
>>custom CSS for the interface breaks after updates, and there is a shitton of useless buttons that waste space on the screen
firefox too breaks custom CSS with updates
the side bar and status bar can be disabled/hidden
half of the buttons on the navigation bar can be hidden by an option

I use Firefox only when I want to laugh at a shitty browser.

Wait for Otter. Vivaldi is not the Opera.

Just fucking get out. Maybe you can Google search how to hang yourself.
>>55495394
>thinking only one thing can be a botnet
Come back when you're not retarded.
>>55495394
This isn't even b8.
>>55494251
This then times. When i digit on urlbar i expect suggestion from history/bookmarks, not google hint. Btw, firefox url bar is superior to chrome.
I like having a search bar. It's nice to have something that keeps all my searches handy without having it all mixed with browser history and bookmarks. Besides, what else would you put in that space? Making the omnibar bigger is pointless, using the space to place add-ons looks cluttered (you shouldn't have that many anyway...), and leaving it blank has no point or purpose at all besides removing a convenience.

still shit Chromium font rendering...

I paused reading the thread after reading their post and thought pretty much the same thing as this.

Firefox is superior to Chrome period.

I seriously don't get why cucks lament the death of a propriety browser and celebrate the advent of a new one when there's an option (Pale Moon) that is literally the same thing if not easily cloneable. I've yet to read one thing these dudes are nostalgic about that I haven't seen an FF addon for. baka

Opera 12 reporting in.
>>55496002
>Many reasons
No. I don't see why I need additional clutter when I can use the one bar that's already in my browser to both enter URLs and search using every search engine I use
>>55496107
>additional clutter

The only visual difference between a full omnibar and a search bar is a small border with the latter.
