Well I wrote a few infographics on Firewall, Qbittorrent server, OpenSSH server and an Arch install guide. I'm NOT the shitty apps guy btw.
I contribute to /fglt/ and ask people what guide they need me to make
I have acquired lots of software for free
that makes it free software, right?

well one time i cross compiled something and then
didn't share it cause nobody cares
I use several free softwares, If there are not users those nerds wouldn't have to keep developing and maintaining free software , so I contribute as much as them to the free software world
As obnoxious as he can be, technology would be a lot worse if not for him.
I am slowly convincing my friends and family to switch over to f-droid on their smartphones, shunning Google services. The trick is to not go on a rant about software freedom from the get-go, but start with something like "Did you know there's this other play store where all the apps are completely free? They also have better performance and no advertising. Neat huh? Let me show you."
Then after a while they still have performance issues because telemetry and shit, or they want more customization options or whatever, I tell them I can put CM on their phone but they'll lose access to the Google play store.
> but muh Whatsapp
Ask them what they think about people spying on their messages. Ask them if they're comfortable with profiling, which means that the dick pics they send over WA are connected to their fagbook account, and to their pornhub history. Enlighten them about software freedom. They'll see the light.
Sometimes they won't, but at least you tried. Then they see how your 3 year old phone is still smooth as fuck, with no ads and how you can still do instant messaging, send pictures etc and might change their mind anyway.
