This is pretty valid, and why "botnet" companies like Google, Microsoft, and Apple are successful. The fucked up part that everyone hates is that data-collection is always enabled by default, impossible to turn off, and hidden from the user. Everyone would happily use these products if they were transparent and allowed data-collection to be optional.

they have good android apps and good android icons, that is true. but their webapps can get pretty shitty (play music, docs/sheets/slides) and almost all their iOS apps are bare bones and a pain to use (google refuses to use apple's design language, so they use their own, which would be fine if they didn't half ass it). their iOS app icons are really ugly, too.
