Hey /g/. Do you use a read it later service? If so, what is it?

Yes. It's called bookmarks.

Even on your phone?

This. I use Pocket solely because it saves pages for offline reading later. I don't have a smart phone currently, so I use a tablet for reading on the go.
Pocket works pretty well (except for when their entire site went down that one time a few weeks ago, that was pretty lame). Any FLOSS alternatives?

Well there is one for self-hosting: https://www.wallabag.org/
There should also be a dedicated server somewhere online, search in the website

Here's another one that looks interesting. Don't know if it's still active.

I started using Pocket a lot in the last few months actually. Always thought it would be dumb, but it's useful enough.
wallabag is a nice self-hosting option.

What about Instapaper?
I used Instapaper way back in the day. Have used Pocket heavily for a few years now, love it since I can sync articles to my Kobo.
Basically, whenever I see an article I want to read, I send it to pocket. Then I can read on my phone if I'm stuck with nothing else to do, or ideally on my Kobo where reading is actually enjoyable.
I notice Arstechnica articles don't work with Pocket when in offline mode: it doesn't load them ahead of time fully. Annoying.

I use pocket.
Little more than a quick bookmark service.
The firefox enhanced its functionality very much, but those faggots stopped developing it.
I still use it though.
The web interface is shittier.
