Only had trouble installing specific drivers for a netcard on win 8.1, worked out of the box but for better performance I had to get a 3rd party driver (used iobit's driver software to grab it for me) and works like a charm.
There is no need for a start menu in 2016, it was a list of shortcuts from the beginning, which belong on your desktop.
