Wish I could claim that honor. MySQL is shit and even worse shit now that it's an Oracle product. PostgreSQL has always been better, at least since the 90s.

Definitely not. SQL is a standard but MySQL in it's most common configurations doesn't support the standard as well as PostgreSQL. That's not why MySQL sucks though. It sucks because it's less reliable in terms of actually treating your data respectfully and guaranteeing that it gets stored in a predictable way. Plus, its clustering configuration is a clusterfuck.
