Yeah, I wouldn't buy the reference RX 480 anyways because of the 6 pin power problem, but I was interested to see some third party cards with additional PSU power draw. If it makes you feel any better, you can't get a 1070 for that price anywhere on the planet. $500 is the minimum you have to pay for it, and they have severe supply issues.
1060 won't be any better either, since supposedly it is a sliced down 1070.
