What is the most practical/private email hosting service to use?
I've always used hotmail (habit) and now they want my phone number, device number etc and I'm going to switch, what do you all-knowing gentoomen recommend?
I just want to minimize my presence in the botnet

It doesn't have to be super-secure, just something that doesn't NEED to know exactly what device and IP I'm on.
Sorry for self bump, plz no bully
Protonmail, Tutanota, both are fine.

Hello hillary

Wasn't one of them under scrutiny (on here) for potentially being compromised? I think it was protonmail. Maybe I imagined it..

anon, what difference, at this point, does it make?

This. I prefer Tutanota myself.

Protonmail isn't open source. Tutanota UI is unbearable.
What does RMS use? Should I set up my own server, or is spam untenable to handle?
Thoughts on ghost mail?
