Why do manufacturers have to ruin their laptops by plastering their name and logo all over the product? Do they really think that it will help sell units? Why cant we have just plain black edgy as my soul laptops nowadays?

What's wrong with putting a logo and model number on it?
ThinkPads got it right. Indicator LEDs and all.

You can buy replacement parts for many of the mainstream laptops and smartphones out there. I have a Galaxy Note 5 with no logos and a macbook pro with no logos. All I did was replace the glass on both and replace the aluminum shell of the lid on the mac. Took about 3 hours and $200 to do. Everything works fine.

Where do ad companies get those brandless laptops? They look just like a Macbook but without the Apple logo

Agreed OP. It's incredible to me that no one seems to complain about the stickers placed by the manufacturers, and even more incredible that people will add their own stickers.
Oh it has an Intel Core i5 'INSIDE'? Well that really narrows it down to about 16 different product lines over a 7-year time span. What a worthwhile sticker!!
