I only download 1080p 10-bit mkv BD rips with FLAC audio. Anyone not doing it this way is doing it wrong.

And? Depending on the AAC encoder and especially bitrate, you certainly might. You're not going to hear a difference QAAC q91 or better, and likely won't above q73, but not everyone encodes there.
