Let's talk about decentralized services and why you should care about it.

The internet will go to shit if we don't do anything about giant tech companies controlling everything. Net neutrality is always at risk.

Here are some projects worth looking at this year:

Decentralized dynamic websites (fully functional). Already has a working imageboard called 0chan.

Cool, so what are you doing that's illegal?
>>
>>55412100
>any attempt to avoid surveillance by anyone must be because you're doing something bad
>everything that is illegal should be illegal
>governments, companies, and societies never punish people for doing things if those things are legal

I wish I understood how people like you can believe shit like this
>>
>>55412165
I didn't say you were a bad person, I'm just wondering what you're doing that is illegal.
>>
>>55412190
you're assuming I'm doing something illegal. You're wrong. Why are you assuming that?
>>
>>55412209
The only advantage to using shit like this is to do something illegal.

No it won't. Just run BGP, get some transit and a /24 if you have the $$$ and are worried. Or just share it with a few people.

You are an idiot. Please go read some history books before you go about spewing idiocy from your maw.
>>
>>55412265
Dude wut... I never said you were doing anything wrong, I just asked what you were illegally doing

>having fault tolerance and free scalability is illegal
here we see the harmful impact the windows mindset has had on the minds of the masses
>>
we love google here
>>
>>55412301
Things can only be fault tolerant up to a certain point, and the shit in OP has nothing to do with fault tolerance since distributed systems are pretty much ubiquitous on the regular Internet.

And scalability is never free. (not that this shit will scale very well at all)
>>
whole lotta pedophiles ITT
>>
>>55412338
How does it not scale well? Bittorrent does a better job than any central server could at high load. Look at Popcorn Time, pretty much infinite availability and often as quick as Netflix.
>>
>>55412678
Yeah, which is why Google uses bittorrent rather than spanner
