Which laptop is the best to study with in 2016?
I don't need a lot of horsepower since I'll be running linux and occasionally watch a movie.
A Chromebook seems to be a good option but idk which one to buy.

This. Spend the time until september at exercising your hand so you can write for 2 hours.
Even informatics are learned with an erasable marker.
However, you may get a home computer for your studies, if you need to do homework through your computer. That's all.
Any Intel based CB. Better support for ubuntu.
