So i decided to use ddr4 for my new pc and was pretty confident

So i decided to use ddr4 for my new pc and was pretty confident that it was the right decision, but everybody in the "Guts" thread seems to use ddr3.

No, its superior to ddr3 in every way. Also next time use the /sqt/.

Odds are your new PC could only use DDR4 anyway since most Skylake Z170 mobos don't support DDR3 anyway. Also faster ram matters in CPU heavy games.

You want to use DDR4 if you have a new motherboard.

Older ones have to use DDR3
