Looking for a 24" monitor that would last me some years, budget €300-400.

I have a Dell XPS 15 (2012) running off an NVIDIA GT 640M, W7. Mostly use it for Ableton Live and playing some Quake or Dark Souls.

I think 1080p would be enough, though I might eventually build a desktop after some years. Should I be considering 4K at this point?

Also I don't give a shit about extras like USB ports or speakers.

Don't be a dumbass. At 24" anything but a standard 1080p is literally pointless.
