First time using Edge it felt like I was a little wee lad using Netscape for the first time. It just feels so right. It almost seems that on the horizon there finally is a death for the memes that are Chrome and Firefox.
I'm using W10 and I haven't tried Edge even once.
Waiting and waiting for addons.. webm support.. proper website support.. popup windows instead of everything being forced into a new tab.. it's not happening.

Correction, just the JavaScript engine is open source. There are two engines for edge: edgeHTML which is a trident fork and proprietary and the JavaScript engine chakra which is a fork of the JScript engine is open source. Why anyone would want chakra is beyond me.

First of all, Chromium is not owned by Google. Second, when I said overall I meant browsing and UI. Edge is better than what IE used to be, but is not better than any of the major browsers right now.
Extensions are a promising start and surely will help getting more users, but until it allows customizing the toolbar/interface, I have no reason to move.

I'd use it regularly since it has every other browser beat on performance and battery life for laptops, but I can't sync it to anything on mobile, which is a huge pain in the ass. Sorry, Edge. I hate that every browser except for Chrome & Opera fuck you over on syncing. Safari won't sync properly except to itself, and that's Mac exclusive. Edge is Windows Phone exclusive and acts similarly.
