I'm with Shaw internet.
I get 30 Mbps.

I want to switch to TekSavvy because they're cheaper.

What's better Cable or DSL?

Anyway, go for cable

DSL is only really good if your house is close to the central office or to a repeater

Actually, forget that last sentence

Cable is always better than DSL, even if you live close to the central office

I should have said "DSL is only acceptable if you're too poor to afford a good cable line and you live close to a central office"

Yeah, Edmonton here.

I heard with TekSavvy you have to buy your own modem, but that's really no big deal if your rates never go up.

Something I noticed is Teksavvy has data caps which they enforce

I'm not sure what it's like in Edmonton, but here in Calgary shaw does not enforce caps. I'm currently on a 300 GB per month plan, but I'm hitting 1TB a month and they don't care

It's 5 bucks more a month for unlimited data.

I don't download torrents usually so I don't know if I go over 300 gb.
