How does /g/ deal with cds and dvds? I have a lot of them. how do you store them? what do with old discs?
I've put most of them in the trash.
before that I had those giant folders for cds.

1) you take exactly 50 CDs or less
2) you put them into microwave
3) you apply magic into them on full power in 6 seconds
4) you put it to trash.
5) goto 1) until you have 0 media left.
Or just keep them in one big box in basement / rooftop next to VHS and or floppy.

Convert CDs into FLACs.
As for the DVDs I mux them into a giant MKV with dvdfab and, encode the video to 16 CRF H264 and audio to 192 Kbps VBR Opus in MEgui, mux the encodes and get rid of the giant original MKV extracted from the DVD.
Finally I toss the DVDs and CDs into the trash where they belong and backup all my shit on 2 external HGST hard drives.
