This used to be true for 128-512MB microsd cards. We're not in 2010 anymore though. Modern micro sd cards have hundres of times more storage space and global wear leveling algorithms in their controllers. People have been using RPs with 128GB Samsung microsd cards as servers since forever and have had 0 problems.

There's actually a reason why Android games are shit right now and it's bot the GPU/CPU. The real problem is RAM. Since the GPU does not have soldered on GDDR5 it uses system RAM as vRAM. This RAM is typically limited to 2-3 GB on most phones and most is used for the OS and user's stuff with like 200-400 MB of RAM left for a Android vydia. The result? Shitty textures and not enough vRAM to load a big world in.
Anyway if 4-6GB RAM phones become popular then devs will start using high-res textures and bigger worlds. Hope this happens soon.
