Win 10, mactype, any tips to improve?

Times New Roman.
Am I the only one hating subpixel rendering? The advantage is as good as invisible, but the color fringes are fucking ugly as hell, plus it doesn't scale. It should be off by default, especially as high dpi screens get more common.

I'm using MacType but it's not rendering the fonts in Firefox. I found some solutions on Github but I have no clue how to apply them (idk where the 'prefs' file is). Any idea?

I stopped using firefox a while ago, that's on chromium, I wish I could help you out, I remember there being some extension that fixed AA on fonts on firefox back when I used it, that might be it.

The issue with Linux and most of the desktop managers is that fonts are not readable and their rendering + appearance varies from app to app. Even web browsers are using some cheap knock-off font and it's not appealing at all. I'm talking about latest gnome & kde for example.
That's why I like Windows and OS X better that even windows 10 is a clusterfuck but at least it has contigency.
