haven't bought a motherboard in pretty much around 10 years, and back then MSI was synonymous with solid build, quality and efficience. They were the "professional grade" tier of motherboards, built to last.
now it seems the whole word is shitting on MSI, and I see they do a lot of "gamer" oriented stuff.

Asus is shit.
Surprisingly enough ASRock makes some of the best premium boards. MSI makes good budget and premium boards. Gigabyte has good boards but iffy BIOS. ASUS is declining in quality and fanboys only disagree.

i just got an msi z something "mortar" board, and it's totally oriented towards gamer fags, but it seems pretty good so far. the bootup splash screen is kind of shitty, but you can disable that.
the onboard audio is actually quite good.
