Okay yeah I understand it doesn't always look professional to have a window, but some builds look very nice internally, why not have a window?
I personally prefer the sound dampening side panels instead of a window.

It's good if you want to read motherboard q codes.
It's all a preference really, but for the most part people here hate it because it has become a meme that they are normally a sign of someone who uses their PC's as more of a glorified video game console rather than someone who is actually just interested in computers as a whole but personally I find they look really nice.

That looks like shit but I will agree on white leds. The really only dislike of windowed panels is the noise factor. No matter how good your fans, loops etc etc there will still be noise due to the window vibrating. It's mostly due to the fans as well as the hard drives. Even sound dampening the case more can't bring it down to silent. Never found a way to mitigate the vibrations as I can't have an all SSD build nor can I have a good overclock without having the fans at at least 800+rpm for good Temps.
Anyway I got carried away, the only problems I have with side panel window cases is the noise and the ugly builds. If you're going to have a window, at least have it look visually pleasing inside with leds that allow you to turn then off and control brightness. Whenever someone new comes over and sees my build I do get flattered when they compliment me about it and want to talk about it.

Windowed cases can look pretty neat but only if you actually take the time to do some decent cable management and color matching.
Also, no obnoxious RGB leds out the ass, it makes your PC look like a brothel in the middle of the highway.

If you build with a window you compromise on your internals to make them look good. Meanwhile with an enclosed case you get sound dampening side panels and can comfortably buy whatever performs the best.
