What is /g/'s view on Discord? Goods? Bads?
/v/ is trying to push this occasionally as our chat, but I believe I've heard otherwise as to why not to use it.
Literally nothing wrong with discord.
More private than Skype
Still pretty dogshit for privacy.
Its basically a retard proof Skype replacement that doesn't scare normies away like mumble does.

You're the product.
Also the software is poor.

This
>>55379912
Well it's better than Skype, that's enough for me
>>55379969
It's about time we've had something that replaces Skype (normies safe), but I'm still not sure if Discord is it.

>haha jsut like le pokemon xd joke!!! lol haha so funi
fuck off
>>55379949
no
>>55379912
It's garbage. Also, the developers keep posting threads about their shitty software in /g/ to gain mindshare which is annoying.
>>55379912
Uses too much resources.
Is closed source software.
No Linux support.
Convenient for creating servers and chat/voice rooms and shit.
Overall, it sucks but it has good design and free servers.
>>55379912
It's a good service, but it's still a proprietary service. The official Android app sucks donkey cocks though.
IRC is pure gibberish for anyone who isn't /g/ so it's basically useless if you aren't some loser faggot with only one interest. Even then, it's so fragmented and clients don't generally support basic things like media embedding. Like, IRC should have gotten extremely excited for Websockets but there's barely been any traction for its support. IRC is fucking dead in the dirt.

Also this. They're well funded now, but what about in the future? Will they still continue the service for free? They don't really have a business model yet so there's a high degree of uncertainty here.
>>55379912
i'm was getting tired of their shilling, ironically since all the shills are now busy with the graphic cards they stopped shilling this shit
>>55380533
>good design
literally made me feel sick
>Convenient for creating servers and chat/voice rooms and shit.
you can't create servers. it are rooms or channels. if you don't know the difference
then you have a serious problem.

I think it's a great replacement for Skype. Would be better if it was open and had a stable linux version already.

Talk shit, post fit faggot
