Are there any worthwhile differences in how the Mac OS X operating system works vs Windows?

For instance, when you close a window on it, you close a window, not the program. This means that it will still be running on the background for you to open another window without waiting, but it also annoys some people because they always want to force quit everything.
It supports certain automated processes, so for instance you can create a folder, drop video files inside and they'll get converted and sent to the NSA-- I mean to your family. Or do whatever you wish if you know how to work your way through.
iTunes is good in OSX, as opposed to the garbage on Windows. That doesn't mean you shouldn't use something else, like Cog, CMUS or mpd.
Applications are installed by dragging them into a folder. They're removed... kinda the same way. Sometimes they leave leftovers. "There's an app for that".
Like Windows, they also have this divide between desktop applications and apps, but the apps are not so trashy. You can buy decent shit on the store. You can pirate shit and it's just as easy, if not easier than on Windows.
Proper scaling, proper font rendering. Things that Windows, for some random reason I do not know, will never have.
A cool package manager
The things I dislike about it are opengl performance, which is better on linux in my experience, and that the fastest browser on it is actually Safari but lacks some features here and there, it's not exactly as secure and fucks up streams. The rest is fucking solid. People be shitting on it more than it deserves.

OSX iso got a lot software included while you have to download it manually with Linux, also all the languages take 200-500mb alone. Then the codecs, and the silly videos that show you how to use it and whatever else.
It's just a more complete package, although the difference between commercial OSs that need at least 4-5gb and most Linux distros 700-1.2gb is still massive to be honest.
