>TrueCrypt
- no longer in active development
- severely outdated
- has audit
>VeraCrypt
- in active development
- new features
- no audit
Which one do you choose?

I'm using windows' lock thing after truecrypt went into mememode

TC.
Real world tested(Proven to work in real cases)
No major vulnerabilities discovered yet. (All the exploits mentioned in the audit requires very edge case scenarios)
Therefore I have to reason to switch to VC.

Didn't truecrypt get NSAd?
Personal use: VeraCrypt - new features, improved performance (I think)
Commercial/"Serious" use: TrueCrypt - audited

7.1a is safe i think
>>55371236
The last version did.
Because NSA knew it actually posed a threat.
The fact it gained attention from them means it obviously was good shit.
Truecrypt is still good. All these programs do is AES encryption
Move to Veracrypt 5 years from now when it's more mature
