So /g/, whats the best language to program a game in? Which languages have the best libraries for that sort of thing and also, importantly, which would be the simplest/fastest language to program a game in?

That isn't limited by your language, just by your skill.
An easy language like python would be fast to develop for even a complete retard, but the game would run like absolute shit with any graphics above ASCII.
Assembly can be fast after years of study, but like I said, C++ is the one people use as a happy medium.
