What's a good hard-drive capacity for a laptop that would be primarily used for schoolwork? Is a 128 gb solid-state drive better than a 320 gb hdd?

Google Drive gives you more than enough space to keep all of your school shit and there's always the option of using a USB drive to hold stuff. Get the SSD.

Well. I had been using my desktop which has a 1 TB HDD, but then I graduated college, and now my grad school that I'm starting requires that I get a laptop. I haven't owned a laptop in a while.
Depends on your use case. If you have 100GB of music or chinese cartoons or whatever and you don't want to keep them on an external drive then you obviously need the HDD. But SSDs are so much faster it's not even fair.

I've heard 250gb ssd is the most effective and practical
