I finally enabled the font smoothing (cleartype) on my XP install.
My eyes kinda hurt now because the text is all blurry now, how do I make it look better, while still remaining smooth? I tried Cleartype Tuning but it didn't really change much.

Try MacType

>MacType
not op but last time i tried using it my pc got bricked, any tips?
>>55361290
Thank you, anon!
It looks way better now, although it still feels weird (probably because I'm not used to smooth text at all)

Did you use the registry option or something? I swear nothing like that happened on my side.
>>55361509
gdi++ then
>>55361560
What the fuck?
Why can I see the spoiler like that?
>>55361560
yeah, that might have been the problem so i might try it again because cleartype is poop and if it fails again at least i know what to do
I'm using the registry version of Mactype with basically no trouble. Is another option better for some reason?
I do have trouble with Mactpye on occasion though. Font won't render on webpages correctly sometimes, but changing the size with Ctrl+ or Ctrl- will fix it. Line height is kind of fucked in my address bar as well. If I type lowercase Os if you look closely the tops are slightly cropped, but if I follow it with a tall letter like an L it will fix itself.
Other than that, qbittorrent and Malware Bytes look like shit. I don't think Mactype works correctly with those. Fucking wish it would.

Nah, the registry option is supposed to be the best one, don't change anything.
And yeah, qB looks like total crap for me as well - and I have no fucking idea why.

Not like I have any choice right now, pal.
Linux isn't running really nicely on my computer, and newer windows OSes lag.
Jesus christ why are you using XP

Tried LXLE? It's like a polished version of Lubuntu
