How's your airflow?
>>55360734
God that's retarded
autism: the thread
Hell if I know. I just installed a case fan and I don't even know if its blowing air in or out.
You tell me, OP.
>>55360734
this >>55361891
Someone here once told me I did it wrong but I haven't cared to fix it
>>55360734
>op has no idea about airflow
>>55362601
Full of dust and shit you say?
Node 605 here. Any better fan direction than this? Looking for a good way to cool this thing down.
>>55362625
I actually really love your CPU cooler placement
Did you take the dust-filters off the front cover of that case? they significantly reduce airflow...
Suggestions: get 3 more fans. same size as what you're using on your CPU cooler
put one making the air flow out the top-back of the case, the other 2 can go on your CPU radiator, you'll be running a push/pull system which will improve CPU temps and airflow ever so slightly.
Total cost: 10$ or so...
Here's an informative mspaint
>>55362897
I wouldn't reccomend that design.
Too many fans blowing in, not enough fans blowing out...
The most important thing is to have the intake far away from the outtake. Don't be a retard and circulate warm air like OP.
I actually study this shit.
>>55362625
>Radiator infront of only intake fans
>All other components just blasted with hot air from the CPU
Why anon? Buy some more fans and move the radiator to the top.
>>55363302
b-but that takes effort and this has worked for two years already
antec 900. i see only 1 C less with 2/3 fans at medium speed....but pc sounds like an AC generator
no thanks...
i cant imagine what would happen is i switch all 3 at high
>>55360734
Only intake air into the case you faggot let positive air pressure do its thing
[front] 280mm rad push/pull
[bottom] 120mm
[top/back] 140mm
It just werks.
>>55362625
This config kinda seems like a waste of space, why not mount those rad fans where the front case fans were installed? i.e. between the case interior and front panel cover.
I have almost the exact same setup. see >>55363488
my push fans are where the stock fans were mounted and moved the stock ones to the internal side of the rad for pull.
Airflow is retardedly overrated
>>55363404
It's not bad to direct your exhaust so you can maximize the volume of air passing say your cpu.
Pretty basic shit.
>all these newfags up in my /g/
>>55360734
this configuration is not optimal for >all< cases. it works quite well in mine, though
>Aerocool DS Cube
also, i live in norcal(916) and AC is fucking expensive, so i try not to run it much
under load (overwatch) the cpu will never break 43C and the GPU hovers around 46-55C , depending on the map. Quite a large delta, not sure why, given how well optimized the game is.
>>55365615
please excuse my retardation.
the front rad is intake, the top rad is intake, the rear fan is exhaust. positive pressure
>>55365426
What the hell is this from?
>>55360734
Always positive!
>>55360734
That doesn't make sense
>>55360734
>remove all the fans
>hope the air flows naturally through your machine
What kind of ultra-tier autism is this
>>55363112
You do realize the fans blowing in become fans blowing out at some point. Technically, he could cut holes in the sides and move the top fans there and the airflow wouldn't really change.
>>55365426
thank you based crashi-chan
3 intakes, all 120mm
2 on the front
1 on the side
2 exhausts
both on the CPU radiator
[fan - radiator - fan]
gpu does it's own thing
2 120s in at the front
an 80 in
an 80 out
the PSU fan pulling air from the case out the back
I just bought a new case, is this too much of for intake?
She's wide open
>>55360734
Do I have enough case fans?
>>55367176
fucking kill yourself
>>55366986
That's one ugly case.
>>55362625
>mfw RAM running at 1333
>>55365426
THANK YOU BASED CRASHI-CHAN
Why so complicated?
>>55367176
>>55360734
>>55367258
What in the ever living fuck, please kill yourselves.
>>55366986
Almost right, the bottom one should be set up to draw air out instead of in
>>55367657
Looks good, just cant put your tower on carpet
Really good actually. The top fan and front fan are both positive and my hyper 212 pushes air out of the front because i removed the filter from the front 5.25" bays and i can actually feel the warm air go out.
My r7 370 went from 82℃ max to 70℃ max when i put that 140mm on the outside.
I only did that so i wouldnt have to deal with the atrocious whistling the case produces when the fan sucks air in, so now it blows air in.
>>55367747
Who does that besides senior citizens
>>55368007
Me faget.
>>55366986
I like to think heat rises so those top two should be blowholes.
That said, yeah too much intake, creates positive air pressure or some BS...
>>55368139
Thats not how dinamic fluids work. Specially with cases and fans.
Inside a case, the air goes whatever the fans force it. It can do whatever you want, even shove up your ass if you have enough pressure.
Fluid energy is just a sum of pressure + speed - drag. Drag is usually a function of v^2/2g and air flow is a function of V (velocity), so fans with a lot of air flow but shit pressure are useless except for blowing air outside the case. Even at that they are useless if you have some nearby high pressure fan.
Pressure is king, not flow.
Ofc in compressible fluids like air things change a little, but at the speeds, flows, drags and overall pressure we operate the systems it's barely noticeable.
>>55368311
>can't spell dynamic
>expects me to trust his equations
Who /400mm/ here?
Sketched this up in like 30 seconds which is why it looks like ass. What does /g/ think? Loop goes reservoir/pump -> QDC -> two GPU's in parallel -> QDC -> 360mm rad -> CPU -> 360mm rad -> reservoir/pump
The front 3 120mm fans are intake, the top 3 120mm fans exhaust, and there is one rear 120mm case exhaust.
